JICO, an acronym for Nippon Precision Jewel Industry Co. LTD, is a Japanese manufacturer whose name is well known to afficionados of high-quality turntable cells and diamonds, both audiophile and DJ. This family business based in the Hamasaka region of the Land of the Rising Sun, whose origins date back to 1873, began its history by manufacturing sewing needles! Manufacturing diamonds and cantilevers since 1966, which made its name, the brand has continued to innovate while maintaining traditional manufacturing techniques, and now offers its own cell holders, cells and diamonds for the enjoyment of all vinyl lovers.

The brand has worked hard to provide audiophiles and DJs with an alternative to the famous Shure M44-7 and N44-7 cartridges and diamonds, true legends that have shaped the history of Hip-Hop and scratch music. On this Omnia J44A-7 Aurora, JICO has integrated a J44A-7 moving magnet cartridge, featuring performance equivalent to the Shure M44-7 cartridges of the time, with powerful bass and a smooth, balanced sound.
The N44-7 Aurora stylus, with its Type S tubular aluminum cantilever precision-worked to match Shure cantilevers as closely as possible, combined with an integral (bare) diamond, offers excellent vinyl groove guidance and increased resistance to playback skips, while giving you high-definition audio quality.

A model optimized for DJs.
This complete kit offered by JICO, which reproduces sounds very close to authentic Shure cartridges, benefit from improvements made by the brand to best meet the needs of DJs. The force of pressure has been increased from a maximum of 3g for the Shure model to 4.5g for this JICO model to ensure better tracking for the most demanding scratch sessions. The body of this Aurora version, made of Lumi Nova phosphorescent pigments, glows in the dark to make it easier to find your pickup in the dark, while adding an inimitable touch to your turntable! And to protect the diamond in all circumstances, this model benefits from a protective flap that folds down over the pen to prevent any harmful rubbing.
