JICO, an acronym for Nippon Precision Jewel Industry Co. LTD, is a Japanese manufacturer whose name is well known to afficionados of high-quality turntable cells and diamonds, both audiophile and DJ. This family business based in the Hamasaka region of the Land of the Rising Sun, whose origins date back to 1873, began its history with the manufacture of sewing needles, a precision activity that already foreshadowed its future! Manufacturing diamonds and cantilevers since 1966, which made its reputation, the brand has continued to innovate while maintaining traditional manufacturing techniques, and now offers its own cell holders, cells and diamonds for the happiness of all vinyl lovers.

The brand has worked hard to provide audiophiles and DJs with an alternative to the famous Shure M44G and N44G cartridges and diamonds that are well known to audiophiles and 45 rpm fans. On this Omnia J44D Aurora, JICO has incorporated a J44D moving magnet cartridge, which is equivalent in performance to the Shure M44G cartridges of the time, with that characteristically smooth, full and balanced sound.
The N44G Aurora stylus, with its Type S tubular aluminum alloy cantilever precision-worked to closely match Shure cantilevers, combined with an integral (bare) diamond, offers excellent vinyl groove guidance and increased resistance to skip, while giving you high definition audio quality.

A model optimized for DJs.
This complete kit offered by JICO, which reproduces sounds very close to authentic Shure cartridges, benefits from improvements made by the brand to best meet the needs of DJs. The pressure force has been increased from 1.5g for the Shure model to a maximum of 4.5g for this JICO model to ensure better tracking for the most demanding sessions. The body of this Aurora version's pen, made of Lumi Nova phosphorescent pigments, glows in the dark to make it easier to spot your pickup in the dark, while adding an inimitable touch to your turntable! And to protect the diamond in all circumstances, this model benefits from a protective flap that folds down over the pen to prevent any harmful rubbing.
