LTD, is a Japanese manufacturer whose name is well known to afficionados of high quality cells and diamonds for both audiophile and DJ turntables. This family business based in the Hamasaka region of the Land of the Rising Sun, whose origins date back to 1873, began its history with the manufacture of sewing needles, a precision activity that already foreshadowed its future! The brand has worked hard to provide vinyl enthusiasts and DJs with a replacement for the iconic Shure M44-7 and N44-7 cells and diamonds, true legends that have shaped the history of Hip-Hop and scratch music. This
JICO J44A-7 DJ moving magnet cartridge, featuring a high output level that allows them to be paired with the majority of phono preamps on the market, offers performance equivalent to the Shure M44-7 cartridges of the time, with powerful bass and a smooth, balanced sound. Its 1/2" mounting interface makes it a very versatile cell, which can be mounted on the majority of cell holders on the market.

The N44-7 DJ pen, with its Type S tubular aluminum cantilever precision-worked to closely match Shure cantilevers, combined with an integral (bare) diamond, provides excellent vinyl groove guidance and increased playback skip resistance, while giving you high definition audio quality.

A DJ-optimized design.

This JICO-proposed J44A-7 cartridge, which reproduces sounds similar to authentic Shure cartridges, benefits from brand enhancements to best meet the needs of DJs. The recommended headroom has been increased from a maximum of 3g for the Shure model to 4.5g for this JICO model to ensure better tracking for the most demanding turntablism sessions. And to protect the diamond in all circumstances, this model benefits from a protective flap that folds down over the pen to prevent any harmful rubbing.
