Optimized for high downforce and equipped with an S-type cantilever similar to vintage Shure models, these pens are perfect for recapturing the sound and feel of the legendary Shure N44-7, while providing excellent guidance in the vinyl groove.

Japanese craftsmanship.
JICO, an acronym for Nippon Precision Jewel Industry Co. LTD, is a Japanese manufacturer whose name is well known to afficionados of high quality cells and diamonds for both audiophile and DJ turntables. This family business based in the Hamasaka region of the Land of the Rising Sun, whose origins date back to 1873, began its history with the manufacture of sewing needles, a precision activity that already foreshadowed its future! Manufacturing diamonds and cantilevers since 1966, which made its reputation, the brand has continued to innovate while maintaining traditional manufacturing techniques, and now offers its own cell holders, cells and diamonds for the happiness of all vinyl lovers.

The perfect replacement for the legendary Shure N44-7.
The brand has worked hard to provide vinyl enthusiasts and DJs with a replacement for the iconic Shure M44-7 and N44-7 cells and diamonds.
This pair of N44-7 DJ pens developed by JICO features a Type S tubular aluminum cantilever, precision-worked to be as close as possible to the original Shure cantilevers, while offering an optimal 7° angle of attack.
JICO favored the use of a full spherical ("naked") diamond for these pens, with the tip cut from a single piece of diamond. More expensive and qualitative than glued tips, this naked diamond is lighter and offers a much better tracking of the groove of your vinyl, as well as a more efficient transmission of oscillations for a much richer sound.

A pair of pens thought above all for DJs.

This pair of J44A-7 pens offered by JICO, which reproduce sounds similar to authentic Shure pens, benefits from improvements made by the brand to best meet the needs of DJs. The recommended pressure force has been increased from a maximum of 3g for the Shure model to 4.5g for this JICO model to ensure better groove tracking for the most demanding turntablism sessions. The angle of attack has been upgraded from 10° for the Shure diamond to 7° on this JICO version for even more faithful playback quality. And to protect the diamond in all circumstances, this model benefits from a protective flap that folds down over the stylus to prevent any harmful rubbing.
