The Duo guitar is carefully built around mahogany: the back, sides, neck, as well as the soundboard, which is massive for rich, naturally warm low-frequency projection and soundstaging. The parlor size allows a nice projection of the sound, despite a shorter than normal pitch (630mm instead of 650mm) and a comfortable fingerboard with a 43mm nut. The mahogany neck supports the 19 fret South American Rupeanà fingerboard. The special design of the headstock and bridge, the soft rounded shapes, and the inlay of two commas "//" on the twelfth fret ensure an elegant look and a fine Italian style.
