This true legend was born in the 1960s in the workshops of Eko in Italy, where it was successively named J-52, then J-54, before becoming the Ranger we all know. Renowned for their ruggedness and for their simply exceptional value for money, the 12-string Ranger has left its mark on guitar history with its characteristic mustache-shaped pickguard.
A reliable, retro twelve-string for any budget.
The Ranger Vintage Reissue is a modern reissue of this folk guitar in the Dreadnought, or Western, format, with a wide, deep body generating generous lows, powerful mids, and pleasing highs. The spruce top provides precision and clarity, and is backed by sapele mahogany back and sides for good sustain and strength. The screwed mahogany neck, with its low C profile, offers excellent playing comfort for all hands and has a double action truss rod, allowing you to adjust the action to your needs. The aluminum headstock saddle, zero fret, and adjustable bridge saddle further help to find your ideal playing comfort and play your notes with accuracy and inspiration.
And for a few more guitars.
The Ranger is probably one of the most declined models in Eko's acoustic guitar catalog, especially with its Vintage Reissue (VR) series. Available in two different colors, Vintage Natural and Honey Burst, they also come in 6-string, acoustic and electroacoustic (EQ) versions.
The Ranger VR is, to sum up, a reliable, sturdy and powerful western-sized folk guitar accessible to all pockets. It is perfect for beginners looking to enter the world of guitar, or for any seasoned guitarist looking for a rugged, efficient guitar with a stylish retro look.
