He bought this 1963 Fender Stratocaster Sunburst in near mint condition, and it has become one of the most sentimental pieces in his collection. Named after the Rory Gallagher song Joe recorded on his first album, the pickups on this Strat have a powerful, distinctive sound that Joe wanted to share with guitarists looking for that iconic sound.
The Custom Shop at Seymour Duncan designed the most faithful winding at the time, aged the Alnico V magnets, and matched the covers with a Relic finish until Joe deemed the reproduction "perfect." Made in the Custom Shop, the Cradle Rock Strat pickup set is limited to 1,000 units, with Joe's printed signature on each pickup.
