The Alchemia series of high strings are made from a newly discovered material in Italy, a blend of a plastic derived from sugar cane and a percentage of Nylgut. The sound of these strings is as bright, fast and clean as that of fluorocarbon strings. The strings have excellent vibrato and a remarkable variation in tone when the right hand is moved from the bridge to the center of the rosette. In other words, in their extremes, they provide all the smoothness and musicality of gut with the typical brightness and speed of fluorocarbon.
