If you're a fan of the famous Shure M44-7 and N44-7 cell/diamond pair, but want an even more punchy bass sound, JICO has just the product for you! With the IMPACT cell, JICO has taken inspiration from the famous Shure M44-7 and N44-7 cells and diamonds, while making modifications to the cell to offer an even more bass-rich sound, ideal for DJs mixing in clubs.
On this Impact SD, JICO has integrated an IMPACT moving magnet cell of its own design, offering a rendering close to the M44-7, combined with a N44-7 SD stylus. This stylus features a Type S tubular aluminum cantilever precision-worked to match Shure cantilevers as closely as possible, combined with an integral (bare) synthetic diamond, offering excellent guidance in the vinyl groove and increased resistance to playback skips, while giving you the benefit of high-definition audio quality.
**A high-quality synthetic diamond.**
The SD range, for Synthetic Diamonds, uses synthetic diamonds in place of natural diamonds. Artificially created, these synthetic diamonds share the same optical and physical properties as natural diamonds, while offering highly consistent performance at a controlled cost. Thanks to a diamond tip with an adjusted diameter and a new cantilever damping system, synthetic diamonds are able to offer a pleasant, precise sound, more defined than a bonded natural diamond, while maintaining a lifespan in excess of 200 hours.
**A model optimized for DJs.**
This complete kit offered by JICO, which reproduces sounds very close to authentic Shure cells, benefits from improvements made by the brand to best meet the needs of DJs. The support force has been increased from 1.5g for the Shure model to 3.5 - 4.5g for this JICO model, to ensure better tracking for the most demanding sessions. And to protect the diamond in all circumstances, this model benefits from a protective flap that folds down over the stylus to prevent any harmful rubbing.
