Before the HHX, dark cymbals lacked edge. The unique combination of a high profile, wide raw bell and XXL hammering allows the HHX's complex, dark tones to have bite whatever the musical context.

Developed in collaboration with Brian Frasier-Moore (current drummer of Pink) and the craftsmen at SABIAN, the 22-inch HHX BFMWORLD ride is a medium-weight cymbal with a wide, clear and sharp bell. Its exclusive HHX Tone Control hammering creates large, deep hammer marks that give the cymbal a stunning visual appearance and incredible sound.
"My Signature ride design is for those who like a crystal-clear bell and a versatile surface," said Frasier-Moore. "The surface is crashable but remains articulated. The jumbo (oversized) hammering offers specificity in the sound."
The BFMWORLD ride incorporates a sound control edge, which lowers the profile of the cymbal and adds the ability to crash it, resulting in a ride with a clear presence and crisp attack. This feature allows you to crash the cymbal and immediately return to playing on the bell without losing a single note.
"This part of the design is a nod to Chester Thompson, whose Signature Liquid ride has always been one of my favorites," said Frasier-Moore. "With the edges raised a bit, it gives you control when you play the ride. Growing up playing church, I remember my ride was always versatile. 30 years later, nothing's changed!"
In summary, punchier and steeper than the light wrinkles, the BFMWORLD Ride offers excellent stick definition, which blends beautifully with its warm wash.
