The i73® PRO Edge incorporates the same Class A transformer-balanced circuitry as Heritage Audio's classic 73-style preamps, giving the end user the ability to record with all that classic mojo and vibrancy, but, for the first time, directly from the i73 onto a computer.

The first-ever USB-C interface with two built-in 73-style preamps coupled to a pure Class A transformer is finally a reality, making the full analog experience of the golden age of recording available to anyone, anywhere. As with all Heritage Audio Type 73 preamps, there are three input options, so the end user can run vocals through the MIC preamp with up to 70 dB of gain, electric guitar or bass through the fast, dynamic JFET DI, or through the LINE inputs. The 'i73® PRO interfaces enable the user to route any signal to a DAW with true studio quality. With the addition of 2 extra LINE inputs, 2 stereo monitor outputs and 2 state-of-the-art headphone amplifiers, the i73® PRO Edge is undoubtedly the smartest choice as a studio centerpiece for any musician or music producer. The i73® PRO Edge even allows eight additional channels to be connected via ADAT IN/OUT.

A Class A Type 73 preamp is just the first step in achieving that complete analog experience the Heritage Audio team was looking for.... a low-latency monitoring mixer has been developed from the ground up, so that the user always hears what he needs, whether through your speakers or your headphones, each with its own independent mix configurable in the MIXER embedded in the i73® PRO interfaces. To take the experience even further, the 73® PRO Edge enables real-time track processing in the Heritage Audio MIXER with an ever more comprehensive set of tools modeled after Heritage Audio's collection of external and proprietary hardware, running internally on the interface's DSP. Record DRY and WET signals from the MIXER to your DAW at the same time. You can even insert native third-party plug-ins via the MIXER's auxiliary channels. The i73® PRO Edge gives users the right tools to control their work like in the recording studio days, right out of the box, so they can capture tracks into their DAW and finish the job taking advantage of a modern home studio workflow.
