But this raw power would be nothing without the incomparable intuitiveness and ergonomics provided by the Qu series. All the functions you need are accessible at a glance thanks to the 16 million 800x480 colour touch screen and its dedicated rotary encoder, offering very quick access to all the console's parameters. Access to the various advanced functions, such as effects and setup menus, are simply accessed using the dedicated keys and tabs. The SuperStrip offers instant physical control of gain, HPF, 4-band EQ, gate, compressor, graphic EQ and panning to complement the features on the touch screen.

The 24-bit digitally controlled AnalogiQ™ preamps incorporate advanced zero-crossover detection and a dB-accurate gain stage, working in conjunction with the DSP for highly accurate gain and exceptional audio transparency. The design of the AnalogiQ™ preamplifier has been pushed to the last detail to achieve minimal distortion, extremely low noise and the inimitable warm sound of Allen & Heath.

The power of digital is characterized by its ability to provide backup and recall of all your setups and sets at the touch of a button. The Qu's can store up to 100 different setups for recall at any time, and feature premium ALPS motorized faders for instant access to all input channels and 2-layer masters, as well as a Master fader depending on the Mix selected. A third Custom layer is available to design your own combination of inputs, effects send and return, DCA and Master Mix.

With Qu-Drive, multitrack recording has never been easier! The Qu's feature a built-in multi-track USB recorder, offering 48 kHz/24-bit stereo and input channel recording and playback capabilities directly from or to your USB memory stick or hard drive. The Qu systems' built-in audio interface allows you to listen to up to 32x32 tracks (for the QU-32) selectable on your Mac or PC. Computer returns can be easily assigned to the input channels. The interface is directly compatible with Mac OS X and can be directly operated via a variety of CAM software such as Logic, Cubase, Reaper or Pro Tool. Compatible drivers are also available for Windows. MIDI control via your favorite CAM software is always possible via USB.

A highly accessible but advanced ducker is available for each input channel. It can be inserted on-the-fly on any input or stereo group, and offers automatic signal attenuation and rectification: essential for live announcements, or to give a chairperson priority over other members.

A constantly evolving series to be at the cutting edge of progress

The Chrome aesthetic upgrade offers an exceptional mixing experience thanks to the chrome finish faders and rotary encoders, providing optimal visibility in dark environments and improved control.

The new Chrome version and firmware 1.8 brings a new Automatic Microphone Mixer (AMM), helping the sound engineer manage levels when using multiple microphones so that each participant is audible, while still being able to prioritize certain channels. AMM is vital in many applications such as conferences, meetings and discussions where many microphones are open simultaneously to reduce the risk of feedback and background noise.

This update adds a spectrogram that helps to quickly analyze the entire spectrum and detect spurious frequencies so that appropriate corrections can be made.

It also unlocks more monitor mixes by making it possible to switch Stereo Groups into Mix mode. This update allows up to 9 monitor sends on the Qu-24 (4 mono, 5 stereo), and 11 sends on the Qu-32 and Qu-Pac (4 mono, 7 stereo).

A complete and scalable ecosystem

Stageboxes & dSnake

In order to offer ever more innovative and practical solutions for mixing in the best conditions, Allen&Heath offers stageboxes compatible with the Qu series, connecting directly via a Cat5 cable to the console's dSnake port. Available in 3 versions, AB168 (16 inputs/8 outputs), AR2412 (24 inputs/12 rackmount outputs) and AR84 (8 inputs/4 rackmount outputs), the audio racks are the perfect solution to transfer the inputs and outputs of a front panel console directly to the stage via a single network cable over 120 meters !

ME personal monitoring system

The Qu are fully compatible with the ME personal monitoring system. A large number of ME-1s can be chained and connected to the dSnake port of a console, or an AR2412 audiorack connected to the console. Each musician then gets control of their mix, leaving the sound engineer free to focus on the sound on the front panel.

Qu-Pad Mixing App

Add the free iPad Qu-Pad App to your setup (available HERE), and you'll be free to adjust the level of each channel from the stage or make your mix from the crowd! The Qu-Pad app connects to the mixing desk via a Wi-Fi access point (router not included) and gives immediate access to all parameters and settings for live mixing.

Qu-You iPhone and Android Monitoring App

With the Qu-You monitoring app (available HERE), up to 7 musicians can control their own monitoring mix via an iPhone, iPad, iPod Touch or Android device. The main window provides access to the main controls in a very compact form factor, including thumbwheels to control 4 source groups, plus a master mute and output level control.

Professional Microphone Presets

Allen&Heath has partnered with several world-renowned microphone brands, such as Shure, to develop EQ presets for a wide range of microphones that are considered industry standards. These presets ensure quick setup of your set with preconfigured settings for any type of instrument, saving you valuable setup time and allowing you to focus on the source and the environment.

The Qu-Pac packs the power and quality of the Qu Series consoles into an ultra-compact, rack-mountable 19" mixer. It is therefore possible to mix on the touch screen or via an iPad.

Unlike other mixers in the QU series which, when used with mixracks, only allow you to offset the inputs/outputs, with the Qu-Pac it is possible to add inputs/outputs to the system when connected to Mixracks with up to 38 inputs.
