Ziricote is a wood whose color varies from medium to dark brown, sometimes tinged with green or purple and interspersed with black growth rings in darker bands. It has "cobweb" or "landscape" patterns, and its sapwood is pale yellow. It favors low frequencies and can be used to create ukuleles with a rather round overall sound.
